How do I enable telnet access?

Telnet is disabled by default for security, but you can enable it from either the Control Center or Local Manager itself.

Control Center

  1. Select the Local Manager from the Inventory screen
  2. Click Protocols under the Configuration menu on the left
  3. Under Protocols, check the box next to Enable Telnet.
  4. Click Save
  5. Restart the Local Manager

Local Manager CLI

  1. Run config system protocol telnet enable
  2. Restart the Local Manager

NOTE: Changes to the telnet settings will not take effect until after a restart.
