Why is the appliance generating failed logins on managed devices?

AAA management servers sometimes report too many failed logins on devices managed by the Uplogix appliance. This can happen because the appliance uses an escape sequence to ensure that it has exited all configuration modes and remote telnet sessions. This includes a string of keystrokes designed to leave the appliance at a completely logged-out state. The problem occurs when the application has returned to a Username or Password prompt and is still issuing escape sequences like CTRL-C or CTRL-BREAK. This may cause an invalid username or password to be entered. This issue affects appliances running version 3.0 and later.

We are currently working on a solution for this issue. We will update this with new information as it becomes available.
