Testing login will take a few moments...
Login successful; credentials are valid.

The CDMA modem must be activated on Verizon’s network before it will work. To activate this modem on the Verizon network (i.e. perform over-the-air service provisioning – OTASP), you need to access the modem AT interface and enter the following two commands:

AT+CDV*22899

followed by

AT~NAMVAL?0

Note: You will need to enter the “~” (tilde) character twice when typing the second AT command, as the terminal session will filter out the first “~” character.

[admin@UplogixLM (modem)]# terminal
Press ~[ENTER] to exit.
Connecting ...
Console session started. Press ~[ENTER] to exit.

AT+CDV*22899
OK
#OTASP: 0
#OTASP: 1
#OTASP: 2
NO CARRIER
AT~NAMVAL?0

Note: The MDN and MSID information will be displayed after issuing the “AT~NAMVAL?0” command. The system identification number (SID) and the network identification number (NID) might also be displayed. This information is omitted from the screen capture example above.

Once the modem is activated on Verizon’s network, configure the modem PPP settings to establish an internet connection as follows:

[admin@UplogixLM (modem)]# config ppp
